The George W. Crawford Black Bar Association (“Crawford”) is pleased to announce that it will be honoring Pamela Trotman Reid with the first annual George. W. Crawford Visionary Award and Laurie Nicole Robinson with the  first annual George W. Crawford Trailblazer Award.

Receiving Crawford’s Visionary Award
Dr. Reid was appointed as the eighth president of Saint Joseph College in January of 2008.  She is currently serving on the boards of ProLiteracy Worldwide, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, the Connecticut Conference of Independent Colleges and the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education. She is also a corporator of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical center and the founder of GO-GIRL (Gaining Options: Girls Investigate Real Life), a math and technology enrichment program for middle school girls.

Receiving Crawford’s Trailblazer Award
Ms. Robinson is Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of CBS Corporation. In 2004, she founded Corporate Counsel Women of Color ® (“CCWC”), a non-profit organization of over 2,400 women attorneys of color working for over 900 legal departments that primarily represent Fortune 1000 and Forbes 2000 companies. Ms. Robinson currently serves as  CCWC’s Chief Executive Officer.

The recipients have agreed to be recognized during Crawford’s Annual Dinner on April 23, 2010 at The Society Room of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut. The event will be from 7:00pm until midnight and will include a cocktail reception, live entertainment, dinner and dancing.
