For 49 years, the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association (“Crawford”) has been committed to strengthening and transforming relationships within the legal community. In keeping with this proud legacy, Crawford will host its 2026 Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

The evening will honor distinguished leaders whose careers exemplify Crawford’s theme of “Paying it Forward: Moving from Aspiration to Access,” and will include the presentation of the 2026 Trailblazer Award, Visionary Award, and Rising Leader Award, as well as the awarding of scholarships to deserving law students.

The 2026 Trailblazer Award will be presented to Honorable Chief Justice Raheem L. Mullins.
The 2026 Visionary Award will be presented to Attorney Devaughn Ward.
The 2026 Rising Leader Award will be presented to Attorney Jermaine Brookshire Jr.

Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be available for purchase through Eventbrite here. Sponsorship commitments must be submitted by March 31, 2026. (See Sponsorship Packet Here). Individual tickets must be purchased by Thursday, May 7, 2026; tickets will not be available after this date or at the door.
